In spring 2025,The Glee Club, the UK’s leading independent comedy venue operator, opened the doors to its brand-new Leeds venue. It was the first venue for the brand in Yorkshire and PGHL was appointed to deliver a high-impact PR and influencer campaign to ensure the opening weekend gave the city plenty of giggles.
Our objective was to generate strong regional media coverage and engage local influencers and content creators to reach new audiences across social media to position The Glee Club as a serious player in the Leeds nightlife and live entertainment scene.
PGHL crafted a multi-channel launch strategy built around storytelling, access, and amplification drawing on The Glee Club’s star-studded legacy, with household names like Peter Kay, Jo Brand, and Michael McIntyre, to instantly establish credibility. We developed a tailored media campaign that secured pre-launch editorial coverage with key regional titles and to generate excitement ahead of the opening, offered exclusive press and influencer previews, giving priority access to headline acts and behind-the-scenes content.
To further drive awareness and engagement, we partnered with a carefully selected group of Leeds-based influencers and content creators across comedy, culture, and lifestyle, who helped generate a wave of social buzz across Instagram and TikTok.
