Over the next few weeks we are looking forward to the launch of two brand new magazines. Firstly Urban Coco, which is a fashion and music magazine packed full of brand new fashion news, celebs etc… Check out www.urbancoco.com where we will be writing a monthly column of what is happening in Leeds/Yorkshire!

It was also the Oracle and Azucar Christmas party at Ok karaoke which was really good fun with and 80′s and 90′s popstar fancy dress. Here’s a couple of pictures of the team

For the rest of the month we’re looking forward to the Jakes Bar re-launch, Lowbrow, a secret party in a Leeds car park and that Friday feeling at Epernay, where they are offering 2 champagne cocktails for just £6 – so we can all add a bit of sophistication to Fridays afterwork.

The 10 day Aqua sale was amazing and with massive 90% off saw us snapping up the world of bargains! I know we’ll be looking hot this Christmas!

We also got into the spirit of the Bonfire Celebrations and headed down to Roundhay Park to watch the fireworks go off with a bang!

You know it’s coming up to Christmas when the German Market hits millennium square so never one to refuse a mulled wine or German sausage the PG team headed down there to enjoy the festivities.

November also brought us the exclusive launch of  Late Night Lounge Lover on the top floor of Monroe House. This is the most innovative and unique dining experience to hit Leeds in a long time and the next event on Thursday 22^nd December has a well established place in the PG diary!

If you like rum get yourselves down to ‘Revolucion de Cuba’ –the new RUM bar situated above Vodka Revs on call lane.  It’s the new brain child of the famous vodka bar and they have all the types you could ever want. This is soon to be a firm favourite…well who doesn’t like a rum cocktail?

We also can’t forget the launch of Plectrum by Ben Sherman – not that you’d ever think it was by Ben Sherman!! Situated in Thornton’s Arcade it’s the first store to be launched outside of London and it’s right here in Leeds. The after party went down with Norman J manning the decks at City Inn Hotel – a few sore heads the next day and the free bar got well and truely rinsed!

Lastly we have just launched our Christmas listings guide with all the best parties in and around Leeds you need to get involved in like Mono_cult, Distrikt, Sobe, Oracle Alea casino, Faversham and many more…. They are dotted all over Leeds so make sure you grab a copy!

The after party which was rammed at Jakes bar with Dave Martin from Modern Amusement putting a different twist on the usual Jakes bar night which went down a storm.

We also went to the Penfield and Sperry clothing launch at Hip whose parties never disappoint. They did a raffle of a specially deigned bike worth a £1000 unfortunately we didn’t win.

This month, we have signed up a few more companies and added new sections for Chapel Allerton and Headingly offering 25% off food at Arc, Box, Trio, Zed and Hub. We also signed Accent Menswear which was great as I finally got my one piece which i‘ve been waiting FOREVER for. I would highly recommend them to anyone.

Normans Halloween party was also a great night out with everyone looking amazing and they all really made the effort.

This week we will be mainly booking Christmas parties, trying the new menu at The Bird in Alea casino, which we can’t wait for, you can get discount there by using the APP – of course : ) The launch of Hips new shop – a collaboration with Ben Sherman ( Seeing the clothes you would never have guessed) – and heading out to find some fireworks.

After weeks of planning and securing the hottest deals around, we hit the well awaited Fresher’s armed with the latest PG deals and student packs! What a week it turned out to be. 5 Fresher’s fairs, 5000 promo packs given out, marketing for Jones Bar Group, the new 45% student discount at Ego Hair Studio, nights at Revolution & Tiger Tiger with just over  2,500 people through both nights……. ooooff we’re tired. Most importantly everyone LOVED the fact that all you need is the PG logo to get all the discounts on www.pinkgorilla.co.uk !! Just show the logo in any of the featured places. (Levi, Topshop etc….)

Saturday arrives and we deserved a well earned shopping trip, so with Logo in hand we hit Leeds City Centre. First stop was the brand new Dirty Girl Menswear Store in the Corn Exchange. It only opened a couple of weeks ago and word had clearly spread like wild fire! Picked up a nice T-Shirt & Hat & then headed off  to MKI, which is one of my favourite shops, as there’s only a few items of each line of clothing, so you don’t look the same as every other Tom Dick & Harry on Call Lane; I like to be the Shepherd not the Sheep! We’d worked up a right appetite, so we decide to try the White Swan next to the new City Varieties. The food was really tasty & the staff were mega friendly! Defs worth checking out.

To finish the perfect Saturday we headed to The Faversham for Mono Cult. It was Wicked and never ever disappoints…….

Sunday was a sofa day! – enough said and just about ready for another busy week!! Leeds Big Shopping Night Out, I love Vodka at Revolution Electric Press, Office Student Lock In, Hip Store new collection launch, Arc Freshers Fair and  the new Voodoo Cocktail bar & Lounge in Headingly!!!

No weeks the same……..
