“This year the shopping festival kicked off with Leeds Big Shopping Night Out. The aim of this particular element within the festival was to create a day time shopping experience at a time retailers are traditionally closed. On Thursday 13th October many stores opened late and offered customers something extra special in store. We enlisted the help of Pink Gorilla to
raise awareness and help drive footfall to the shopping evening. They were also on street during the event to carry out a series of questionnaire which help inform our LLS evaluation. Whilst we are still collating results the early signs show an increase in footfall during 5pm and 9pm that evening compared to the average of the previous 3 weeks.
